People who choose to work at camps, do so primarily because they love to work with children in a
caring, fun, summer environment and not because they want to get rich. If pay is your motivating
factor, then a camp might not be the best place to seek employment.Camp Director (certified school teachers)
Responsibilities are to:
- manage a complete Camps Canada site.
- oversee every aspect of the camp from start to finish.
- manage a staff of senior counselors, assistant counselors, CITs, LITs and volunteers.
- delegate responsibility to others where appropriate.
- are aware of individual problems and special needs, especially medical concerns and swimming ability.
- plan all summer activities in advance and then are responsible for implementing them.
- plan special events for the whole camp.
- organize the lunch plan.
- organize weekly field trips.
- speak with parents on a daily basis.
- manage any concerns as they arise.
- set a good example for Assistant Counselors, CITs, LITs, volunteers and campers.
Required Qualifications:
- You have previous camp staff experience.
- You are a certified school teacher or are currently completing Teacher's College.
- You have a valid CPR Certificate (Level C) (before the start of camp).
- You have a valid First Aid Certificate (Standard) (before the start of camp).
- You have a valid Criminal Record Check (before the start of camp).
Desired Qualifications:
- You are an enthusiastic, energetic and fun-loving role model.
- You've been a camper yourself.
- You provide strong references that can't say enough about your positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Pay:
- $650 per week.
Arts and Crafts Director (certified school teachers)
Responsibilities are to:
- implement the Arts and Crafts Camp from start to finish.
- write lesson plans and purchase materials before the start of camp.
- manage a team of senior counselors, assistant counselors, CITs, LITs and volunteers in the Arts and Crafts room.
- delegate responsibility to others where appropriate.
- are aware of individual problems and special needs, especially medical concerns and swimming ability.
- help to plan all summer activities in advance and then are responsible for implementing them.
- plan special events for the whole camp.
- be available to speak with parents on a daily basis.
- manage any concerns as they arise.
- set a good example for all campers and staff.
Required Qualifications:
- You are a certified school teacher or are currently completing Teacher's College.
- You have personal experience or a keen interest in Arts and Crafts.
- You have a valid CPR Certificate (Level C) (before the start of camp).
- You have a valid First Aid Certificate (Standard) (before the start of camp).
- You have a valid Criminal Record Check (before the start of camp).

- You have previously taught art in a formal classroom setting.
- You've been a camper yourself.
- You have previous camp staff experience.
- You are an enthusiastic, energetic and fun-loving role model.

Pay:
- $575 per week.
Head Counselor (certified school teachers)
Responsibilities are to:
- lead a team in implementing one of our specialty camp programs. (MultiSport, Golf, Horseback, Swim)
- manage a team of assistant counselors, CITs, LITs and volunteers.
- delegate responsibility to others where appropriate.
- are aware of individual problems and special needs, especially medical concerns and swimming ability.
- help your Camp Director plan special events for the whole camp.
- be available to speak with parents on a daily basis.
- manage any concerns as they arise.
- set a good example for Assistant Counselors, CITs, LITs, volunteers and campers.
Required Qualifications:
- You are a certified school teacher or are currently completing Teacher's College.
- You have personal experience or a keen interest in the specialty camp to which you are applying.
- You have a valid CPR Certificate (Level C) (before the start of camp).
- You have a valid First Aid Certificate (Standard) (before the start of camp).
- You have a valid Criminal Record Check (before the start of camp).
Desired Qualifications:

Pay:
- $500 per week.
Senior Counselor (minimum 17 years of age)
Assistant Counselors work very closely with Counselors (as described above) and the children in their cabin group. Under the direction of their Counselor, they are responsible for planning and implementing the daily program as well as special events for their cabin group and for the camp as a whole. Our Assistant Counselors provide the energy and enthusiasm that make this camp a special place for all the kids involved. Many Assistant Counselors are seeking experience so that they may pursue teaching as a profession.Required Qualifications:
- You are a minimum of 17 years old.
- You have a valid CPR Certificate (Level C) (before the start of camp).
- You have a valid First Aid Certificate (Standard) (before the start of camp).
- You have a valid Criminal Record Check (before the start of camp).
Desired Qualifications:
- You are an enthusiastic, energetic and fun-loving role model.
- You've been a camper yourself.
- You have previous camp staff experience.
- You provide strong references that can't say enough about your positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- You have personal experience or a keen interest in the specialty camp to which you are applying.
Pay:
- $400 per week.
Counselor In Training (CIT) (16 year olds)
CITs are usually promoted from the ranks of the LITS and must be former campers at Camps Canada. Under the direction of their Counselor (as described above), they assist in implementing the daily program as well as special events for their cabin group and for the camp as a whole. As the name would suggest this group are considered "Counselors in Training".Desired Qualifications:
- You are an enthusiastic, energetic and fun-loving role model.
- You've been a camper at Camps Canada.
- You provide strong references that can't say enough about your positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- You have personal experience or a keen interest in the specialty camp to which you are applying.
Pay:
- $300 per week.
Leader In Training (LIT) (15 year olds)
LITs are usually promoted from the ranks of the volunteers and must be former campers at Camps Canada. Under the direction of their Counselor (as described above), they assist in implementing the daily program as well as special events for their cabin group and for the camp as a whole. As the name would suggest this group are considered "Leaders in Training".Desired Qualifications:
- You are an enthusiastic, energetic and fun-loving role model.
- You've been a camper at Camps Canada.
- You provide strong references that can't say enough about your positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- You have personal experience or a keen interest in the specialty camp to which you are applying.
Pay:
- $150 per week.
