Teacher (mornings only)

A "Mornings Only" Teacher:

• enjoys working with our youngest camper population.
  
• is happy to work part time through the summer.
  
• is able to adapt all sports and games to be age-appropiate in size of equipment and level of instruction.
  
• provides basic instruction in a wide variety of sports like soccer, tee-ball, floor hockey, basketball.
  
• is active in participation with the kids.
  
• plays a lot of cooperative games such as duck, duck, goose, simon says, parachute games.
  
• is available to speak with parents on a daily basis.
  
• manages any concerns as they arise.
  
• sets a good example for all staff and campers.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a strong sports and co-operative games background
  
• You are an Early Childhood Educator or are currently completing your ECE
  
• You are a certified school teacher or are currently completing Teacher's College.
• You have personal experience or a keen interest in working with young campers
• You have a valid CPR Certificate (Level C) (before the start of camp).
• You have a valid First Aid Certificate (Standard) (before the start of camp).
• You have a valid Criminal Record Check (before the start of camp).

Desired Qualifications:

• You have previously taught sports in a camp or team setting.
• You've been a camper yourself.
• You have previous camp staff experience.
• You are an enthusiastic, energetic and fun-loving role model.
• You provide strong references that can't say enough about your positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Hours:

• 8:30am to 12:30pm (Monday to Friday)

Pay:

• $11.50 per hour.
