Arts and Crafts Director (you must be a certified teacher)
The Arts and Crafts Director is the manager of the Arts and Crafts program at one camp location.An Arts and Crafts Director:
- implements the Arts and Crafts Camp from start to finish.
- follows our lesson plans or drafts new ones of their own.
- prepares the supplies for daily art lessons in advance.
- prepares art samples where necessary.
- manages any concerns as they arise.
- set a good example for all campers and staff.
- is a strong communicator with campers, parents and any public partners established for the camp.
- speaks with parents on a daily basis.
Required Qualifications:
- You have a strong arts and crafts background
- You are a certified school teacher or are currently completing Teacher's College.
- You have personal experience or a keen interest in Arts and Crafts.
- You have a valid CPR Certificate (Level C) (before the start of camp).
- You have a valid First Aid Certificate (Standard) (before the start of camp).
- You have a valid Criminal Record Check (before the start of camp).
Desired Qualifications:
- You have previously taught art in a formal classroom setting.
- You've been a camper yourself.
- You have previous camp staff experience.
- You are an enthusiastic, energetic and fun-loving role model.
- You provide strong references that can't say enough about your positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Hours:
- 8:00am to 5:00pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay:
- $12.00 per hour.
